The Wampj Mat interpretive trail (walking the Earth) is located in the Tempe Valley, a place steeped in history, surrounded by three hills.
It is crossed by two streams that transform during rainy seasons and fill their flows with the waters that descend from Cerro La Zorra and Cerro La Tinaja.
The Tempe Valley has a close relationship with the development of the Kumiai culture, representing part of the connection between the now town of La Misión and the Kumiai settlement of San José de la Zorra. The original peoples inhabited the Valley in search of shelter and food.
