Among the dishes that attract the most attention of those who visit Tecate are “The 84 tacos” from El Lugar de Nos, by chef Mariela Manzano. They are four pieces prepared with meat cooked in its own juice over low heat for twelve hours. Another variant of these tacos are “Mushrooms 84”, which are mushrooms sautéed in olive oil accompanied by meat 84 and pecorino cheese, from the same place, “the octopus in love” in ginger and coriander vinaigrette or pickled tuna toast.

Like other municipalities, such as Tijuana or Mexicali, in Tecate there are more and more Food Trucks, offering the famous and delicious urban food. Grilled seafood tacos, hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, wings, oriental dishes such as sushi, ramen, all with a personal touch and harmoniously fused with regional ingredients.
