For decades, Baja California has cultivated more than grapes. It has nurtured dreams, traditions, and an identity deeply rooted in wine. In every corner of its fertile land —from the rolling landscapes of Valle de Guadalupe to the ideal microclimates that embrace the vines— you can feel the passion that has brought exceptional fruits. Thanks to the combined efforts of generations of vintners, winemakers, entrepreneurs, and cultural promoters, the state has established itself as The Capital of Mexican Wine, a distinction that honors not only its quality but also its pioneering and innovative spirit.

This recognition is no coincidence. With more than 75% of the nation’s wine production, Baja California has captured the hearts and glasses of wine lovers in Mexico and beyond, elevating the prestige of Mexican winemaking to international stages. Every bottle born here tells a story: of love for the land, respect for natural processes, and devotion to a constantly evolving culture.

One of the greatest symbols of this living legacy is the Harvest Festival, held every summer in Ensenada, the heart of Baja California’s oenological movement. This much-awaited season not only marks the beginning of the grape harvest but also turns the region into an authentic festival of flavors, aromas, and emotions. It’s when the wine community opens its doors to the world to share its work, history, and hospitality.

A Commemorative Edition: 35 Years of Provino

In 2025, the Harvest Festival will shine even brighter as it celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Provino Baja California Committee, a key organization that has driven the promotion and professionalization of the state’s wine industry. Since its founding, Provino has been a pillar in uniting more than 80 wineries in the region, boosting wine tourism, promoting sustainable development, and showcasing Mexican wine with pride and character.

This commemorative edition will pay tribute to everyone who has made Baja California a land of oenological excellence: families of winemaking tradition, emerging new projects, visionary winemakers, and an entire community that has turned wine into not just a product, but a cultural expression.

It will be a harvest full of emotional moments, memorable toasts, and multisensory experiences. With a vision that honors both the past and the future, this year will be celebrated under the theme:“Terroir, Identity, and Vocation,” a reminder of the soul that lives in every vine, the deep connection to the land, and the commitment to keep making history.

Wine, gastronomy & culture at their best!

From July 30 to August 24, 2025, Ensenada transforms into the stage for more than 40 unique experiences celebrating the grape harvest, the wineries’ hard work, and the cultural legacy that has made Baja California an international enotourism reference.

Star-lit pairing dinners, concerts among the vineyards, tours of iconic wineries, and expert-led tastings are just some of the experiences in the program. Renowned chefs, acclaimed sommeliers, local artists, and visitors from around the world will come together to celebrate the richness of wine and the warmth of the people who make it possible.
