Baja California now proudly boasts six Michelin stars, a milestone that solidifies it as one of Mexico’s premier culinary destinations. In addition to this impressive achievement, the region also proudly retains its Bib Gourmand titles, a category that celebrates quality at accessible prices, and several official Michelin Guide recommendations, which recognize the talent and authenticity of its culinary offerings.

In Baja California, great food isn’t a trend, it’s our identity. And now, the whole world is discovering what we’ve always known: that our stars are also served at the center of the table.

The stars you can actually eat!

The Baja California restaurants that earned one Michelin star each in the 2025 Guide are:

  • Animalón (Valle de Guadalupe)A culinary experience beneath a majestic thousand-year-old tree. Chef Oscar Torres offers a sophisticated concept that celebrates the valley’s and the ocean’s local ingredients.


  • Deckman's in the Mogor (Valle de Guadalupe)
    Sustainable outdoor cuisine with ingredients from its own garden, orchestrated by chef Drew Deckman. A dining experience fully integrated with the land.


  • Damiana (Valle de Guadalupe)
    Nestled under the shade of lush trees at Viñedos de la Reina. Damiana is chef Esteban Lluis’s project, recognized for his Michelin-starred “farm-to-table” approach. His six-course tasting menu, which changes seasonally, is notable for its focus on fresh, local ingredients, with 80% of the dishes showcasing seafood, poultry, and farm-raised proteins.


  • Conchas de Piedra (Valle de Guadalupe)
    Sea, bubbles, and good food. Under chef Drew Deckman’s vision, Conchas de Piedra is a celebration of what the ocean gives us. Its menu revolves around shellfish and sparkling wine, a combination as simple as it is perfect. The restaurant sits right at the foot of Casa de Piedra. Every dish is enjoyed with a glass of local wine.
  • Lunario (Valle de Guadalupe)
    Located at La Lomita winery, Lunario is a seasonal restaurant with a contemporary, vegetable-driven approach, led by chef Sheyla Alvarado. It offers tasting menus featuring homegrown ingredients in an elegant greenhouse-style space. Its creative cuisine stands out for bold combinations like sweet and spicy oysters, blue corn sopes with bougainvillea, and surprising desserts such as chamomile flan with honey ice cream.
  • Olivea Farm to Table (Valle de Guadalupe)
    Tucked away in a charming boutique hotel surrounded by olive trees, Olivea is perfect for lovers of contemporary cuisine with a local heart. Here you’ll find everything from the finest seafood to vegetarian dishes that surprise with their simplicity and elegance.

Baja California has reaffirmed its commitment to a sustainable cuisine, conscious and deeply connected to its territory.
